Horizon Insurance Brokers Limited (Horizon), an independent and privately owned indigenous Ghanaian insurance broking firm, was registered in March 2004 and licensed by the National Insurance Commission of Ghana in the same year to provide insurance broking and consultancy services in Ghana.
Horizon provides services across the insurance spectrum, including risk management, insurance broking, and reinsurance intermediation, to local and multinational firms operating in all sectors of the economy. Currently Horizon ranks among the top five broking firms in the country, and has carved a niche in the insurance market as a growing company that is dedicated to achieving superior results to the satisfaction of our clients.

Who Are We As Insurance Brokers?

HORIZON is an insurance broking firm with world- wide capabilities committed to being a broker of first choice for clients who demand the best in quality service delivery and professional expertise. We are dedicated insurance professionals who are in law an agent of our clients. We are required by law to act in the best interest of our clients. Primarily, we help our clients to identify their insurance needs, and buy the needed insurance on behalf of our clients on the most favourable terms and price. We are also responsible for the processing and negotiation of claims under the insurances we buy for our clients.

For the traditional services of an insurance broker, the remuneration of the broker is by way of a commission from the insurance company in accordance with world-wide practice and tradition. The premium rate invariably includes an acquisition and servicing cost which the insured pays to an insurance company regardless of whether the insured goes directly to the insurance company or not. It is this acquisition and servicing cost that the insurance company passes to the broker by way of a commission. Therefore, the insurance broking services of HORIZON would be entirely at no cost to you.
